How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bay Movies’ Bumblebee

Introduced all the way back in ‘84, where it all started, you delighted audiences with your witty dialogue with your friend, Spike Witwicky, and always proved that size didn’t matter when taking bravery or courage into account.

Your next appearance on screens wouldn’t be until 23 years later, in 2007, where you’d lost your voice in favour of pop media references through regurgitated audio. It was also this time where you’d seemingly lost your charm with audiences.

But there I was, adoring you regardless.

Sure, there was a time when I’d become disillusioned with your kid appeal status and saw you for how relentless you could be as a dispatcher of Decepticons.

But come 2023, I did something I’d never done before when you’d had a genuine brush with death, I shed a tear when you left, but also when you came back, ready to do unto those what they’d done to you, and you looked badass doing it.

While not the first time you cheated death, that honour going to a different version of you, it was definitely the most impactful.

So don’t call it a comeback, as you’ve been here for years, proving now that you aren’t just connected by name to those before you, as you’re connected by fellow bearers of your name by your tenacity, courage, bravery and, most importantly, appreciation by those who grew up with you, missed you when you were gone, and then rejoiced when you came back, there to kick ass!

And don’t worry, I’d never lose faith in someone like you, Bumblebee!
