A Weapon Of Defence

Born of a displeased father with wounded comrades and an inexperienced mother who was rescued from her home nation, you were raised to succeed where your predecessors failed.
Your first time in action was on the cold front of a war of intimidation, yet you’ve never seen your final time in action, still fighting to this day.
You are a bringer of terror and hope, demoralization and invigoration, a fighter for many causes, for better and for worse.
Your rival got around better, made it big on the silver screen in her home country by fighting terror, arming the men who protect her country and being an innovation in your specialty, while you became recognized for your reliability in harsh conditions, your easygoing cooperation with inexperienced warriors and your use of the Hammer and Sickle to fight back against the Stars and Stripes.
Where tyranny rose, your presence was revered. Where innocents were massacred, your presence was despised.
You fail and succeed at naught, owing to your adaptability, but also to your shortcomings.
But you still remain in action. Even after your younger sister usurped your official use, followed by your cousin usurping her official use, you still were there when people needed you.
Again whether for better or worse, you’re the first choice for those wanting change, wanting revolution.
Had your mother the knowledge and experience you have, she would be more than proud. Your father lived to see your success, dying a man famous, yet infamous, for a child who succeeded where many still fail, a child who is first on the scene when change must be made, a child who proved the most evil man in history wrong.
You bring revolution, you bring terror and one way or another, you bring change and leave a trail of fame, infamy and legacy.
Much like the golden arch, you are recognizable all over the world.
From humble beginnings in 1947 to global fame to infinity and beyond, you are the successor to the Sturmgewehr Vierundvierzig, the breakout success of Mikhail Kalashnikov, the weapon of revolution and terror, basis for more than 25 million decedents both in action and lost to time, you started without fault compared to your rival, you are the Avtomat Kalashnikov Sorok Sem, or as you are more famously recognized: the AK 47

  1. I think “A weapon of defence” is an astonishingly complex and fascinating piece. I guess it might be thrilling especially for people who are real gun experts as well. But really anyone who loves words and amazing writing will appreciate it. Shew!
